The XXVIII Family Sports Games took place in Šventoji beach

On 2024 on June 8-9, the 28th Lithuanian Industry Workers’ Families Sports Games took place in Šventoji beach, which was attended by about 600 industrial employees and their family members from all over Lithuania. Overall 14 teams participated in the games.

This year, the event moved to the beach – both the matches and the opening of the event, as well as the award ceremony, took place at the beach. Great weather, a positive mood and excitement accompanied the participants of the sports games.

This year, there were some changes in the games: some competitions have been removed, while new ones have been added, like shooting and table tennis. As in previous years, the participants competed in various individual and team competitions – sport fishing, team and family volleyball, tug-of-war, running in various age groups, beach soccer, obstacle course, relays, darts, etc.

The leader of the sports games was the team of the UAB “Elektrėnų komunalinis ūkis” employees’ trade union. They won as many as 25 prize places. The “Achema” team was not far behind – the participants won 21 prizes. Meanwhile AB “Šiaulių energija” team was also very successful by winning 16 awards.

The teams of AB “Kauno energija”, “Ignitis gamyba”, and Energy Distribution Operator (ESO) also performed well.

The awarding of the winners took place on Saturday evening. 60 trophies and 106 gold, silver and bronze medals were distributed. The children who participated in the runs on Sunday morning also received a special medal each. In addition, the winners were awarded with special prizes from the event organizers.

The organizing team congratulates all the prize winners and sincerely thanks all the participants of the Games – from the youngest to the oldest sports lovers!
