78th meeting of the EPSU Executive Committee is taking place in Brussels

On 15–16 April, the 78th meeting of the EPSU (European Federation of Public Service Unions) Executive Committee is taking place in Brussels. Jurga Subačiūtė-Žemaitienė, Vice President of the Lithuanian Industry Trade Union Federation, a substitute member of the EPSU Eexecutive Committee, participates in the meeting.

The meeting brings together representatives of EPSU member organizations from across Europe. Over two days, participants are discussing key issues concerning the future of public services, trade union activity, and European social policy.

Key agenda items include:

  • Presentation and approval of the EPSU Final Finance Report 2024 and Member Auditors Report;

  • Discussion on the application of Artificial Intelligence in the public sector;

  • Updates on European Union policy developments, including social policy coverage, the European Pillar of Social Rights, economic governance review, social dialogue, and preparation for simplification/deregulation processes;

  • Preparations for the annual Public Services Day, which will take place on 23 June 2025;

  • Updates from various sectors and committees: health and social services, local government, utilities, youth, gender equality, organizing and recruitment, etc.;

  • Membership issues: new affiliation requests, membership fees, participation in international structures such as PSI.

The next EPSU Executive Committee meeting is scheduled for 26–27 November 2025.
