On September 9-10, 2021, at the conference center “Vasaris” in Panevėžys, the Lithuanian Industry Trade Union Federation organized a two-day training course as part of the international project “Improvement of Social Dialogue in Industry Sector in Lithuania”. This is one of the stages of the project, aimed at ensuring that knowledge about social dialogue and collective bargaining reaches the active members of trade unions operating in the regions.

During these trainings, 20 participants from various industrial enterprises acquired knowledge about workers’ representation, the relationship between trade unions and works councils, aspects of collective agreements, and the process of collective bargaining.

It should be noted that the project “Improvement of Social Dialogue in Industry Sector in Lithuania” is being developed in industrial enterprises (chemicals, energy, construction, municipal services, aviation) whose trade unions belong to the Lithuanian Industry Trade Union Federation (LPPSF).

The project is promoted by LPPSF, with project partners from the Norwegian Trade Union Federation “Fellesforbundet”, and the sponsor is the Norwegian National Development Bank “Innovation Norway”.

The activities of this project are carried out based on the conclusions of the analysis of collective agreements conducted by LPPSF experts.
